Twisted Frogs baby Quilt for baby Riley

I called this quilt twisted frog because all of the fabrics have frogs in it and the pinwheels look like they are turning. This pattern is started with an extra-large square and cut down into the shapes into another square with three other colors. You than match up these squares with all three other parts to make a unit. This took some time for sure.

The first quilt I made from my frog fabrics was a queen size log cabin quilt which I will write about soon. I still had all of these fabrics left over and then some. I tend to collect frog fabrics and now trying to stay away from buying them. I have made a commitment to finish up the couple of frog pieces that I have planned and not to keep gathering more of them unless they have a specific purpose. Remember how my work space was before I cleared it out? If not please go to my blogs about organizing and clearing my sewing room here.

I had a friend of mine quilt this cute butterfly pattern for my frogs hoping people would get the fun of butterflies for the frogs.

I showed this quilt to my family when I was visiting them in Las Vegas and little Riley who is 8 months old like it so much I might just be giving to her. We all thought she loved the bright colors and the movement it seems to have.

Making custom quilts or just making something because you like them are always fun to do but when someone really loves it all the better. Until next time keep simply sewing arts.
